Winter Fat Bike Sessions!

Fat Bike Program registration is now open!

Join the winter riding fun with RMCC’s new fat bike program! A combination of useful information for riding the wintery trails, skill development sessions, and an adventure out on the trails — the fat bike weekend program will give you the tools to enjoy this growing activity.

The program is open to men and women and will offer a safe, fun and supportive environment with a certified cycling coach and experienced fat biker. Plan to make some new winter riding friends through the program!

We will be riding on easy singletrack trails by Quarry Lake, Powerline and Lowline.

Choose from either of the two days or come for both days:

Day 1: Fat Bike Basics
Saturday, February 20 from 11 am to 2 pm


    • managing snow & weather conditions
    • fat bike set up & etiquette
    • techniques for riding in varied conditions
    • body position
    • bike handing & braking for riding in the snow

Day 2: Fat Bike Progression

Sunday, February 21 from 11 am to 2 pm

  • getting over obstacles in the snow
  • climbing, descending & cornering in the snow

Cost: One Day $65 or Both Days for $100 + RMCC membership/insurance

:
If temperatures are colder than -15°C or there is too much fresh snow to ride, re-schedule date will be February 27 & 28.

Don’t have a fat bike?
