On July 10th as part of Bike Fest, the Cemetery Jump Jam saw riders soaring across the Canmore skyline. The Jam was something that had never been offered in Canmore before, but the community came out in force with more competitors and spectators than anyone expected.
The goal was to put together an event that everyone, young and old, could enjoy whether you watched, volunteered or took part in it.
The end result was getting everyone to smile, meet new jump buddies, have fun and check out a sweet show.”
Benchlands Trail Bike Skills Park recently refreshed by Hang Time Bike Parks and the Town of Canmore Parks crew was an incredible venue for the Jam. In addition to the recent rebuild and expansion of the jump lines in the park, temporary new features were also added, so there was something from everyone from little rippers on run-bikes to the big kids getting huge air on the near vertical sculpted lips.
It was awesome to see Outside Bike & Ski, The Bicycle Cafe, Rebound Cycle, Hang Time, and the Town of Canmore all contribute to make the event happen… Gavin from Hang Time and Paul from Outside went above and beyond to make the Cemetery Jump Jam an incredible success. Iron Goat was flipping burgers and serving beverages late into the night and Rob Steven’s was on the microphone keeping the crowd and riders laughing the entire time.
Can’t wait to see what’s next for the Cemetery Jump Jam in 2016!
These good people made the Canmore Bike Fest Cemetery Jump Jam incredible.
